Sorry I'm a few days late on my update. The pups were 3 weeks old on Monday. They are all doing great! It was a week of rapid growth. They are seeing and hearing so much more. They will respond when I make noise or turn on a light, but if I'm quiet, I can still sneak in without them noticing. Most of their time is still spent sleeping, and though I have a heater in the room, they still like the comfort of sleeping in a pile.
I'm not sure how comfortable that is, but they seem to love it!
When they aren't sleeping, they want to be eating.
It's starting to get crowded around Mom! But it's where they want to be, even when not eating.
Occasionally a pup gets on the wrong side of Mom, but they are big enough now to find their way to where they need to be.
It is fun watching them get a little more confident on their feet and clumsily trying to play.
Babysitting the pups is still a favorite thing to do.
We babysat some grandkids this week and the 3 year old loves the pups!
When Ditto wasn't with her pups, she or Gryphon were helping to keep track of the grandkids.
Red collar was the first pup to discover toys. She may be the smallest, but she's always in the middle of the action and the first to mama when she's hungry, too.
We had our first escapee this week! She pushed the gate open. The gate is now tied in place. They will need an expanded pen soon.
Here are a few more photos of the pups. As you can see, we love spending time with the pups. It will be exciting to see the changes that the next week brings as they begin solid food.
